Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting Event

Mayor's Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us on Crown Center Square, at 6:00 pm on Friday, November 27th, to experience the illumination of one of the largest Christmas trees in the nation!  Be a part of this Kansas City tradition with a performance by the youth Chorus KC, remarks from Crown Center President Stacey Paine and Mayor Lucas, followed by a fireworks finale.   This is a holiday event you will not want to miss.

FREE Admission. 816-274-8444.

All season long as part of the Hallmark Christmas Experience, nightly tree lightings with lights shows and special guests will take place:

Friday and Saturday:  6 pm, 7 pm, 8 pm

Sunday: 6 pm

Crown Center has been home to the Mayor's Christmas Tree for more than 50 years. The tree is a symbol of the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund, which is dedicated to assisting the people of Kansas City during the holiday season.

After the holidays, the wood from the Mayor's Christmas Tree is made into commemorative ornaments, which are sold the following year to benefit the Mayor's Christmas Tree Fund. Visit Crown Center Customer Service, Level 2 of the Crown Center Shops, to purchase your Mayor's Christmas Tree Ornament, beginning November 27th.
